Well Gary,

I just walked that section last week.  Water Water everywhere!! Blackflies, 
skeeters, and lots of other hikers.  Bring a headnet.  Chances of seeing a 
moose are greater than seeing a porkie or a bear.  Bring $5 if you're staying 
at Stratton Pond. 

The trail is especially sloppy from Congdon to the VT/MA border.  We've had 
rain almost every day.
