I used pop bottles of various sizes (when it was dry in PA and VA, I carried an extra
12 oz. bottle in case I needed to carry extra water. The bottle was carried empty
unless I knew water was scarce ahead). In the 1000 plus miles I carried them, I never
once had a leak, or other malfunction. Ask Cake Henderson about that "Oz.-Miles"
theory on 2 ozs. BTW. I now use pop bottles as fuel bottles as well.
