[at-l] More about snakes

The dr. thru hiking this year was at the ruck and gave a talk on trail first
aid. I thought what he had to say about snakebites made it not so scary.
The snake will inject venon according the when his last meal was. The way to
tell the seriousness of the bite is (from not so serious to serious):
1. There is no pain at the bite area.
2. There is pain right at the bite area.
3. The pain takes in the entire limb.
4. All over pain and other symptoms such as vomiting, etc.
Since I have a ridge running job and am alone a good bit of the time I
feel good about knowing this. In other words, if the bite does not hurt, I
will calmly hike out! I refuse to worry about more than this until it
happens. Gutsy
