[at-l] Dog Packs

Leaving Uncle Jonnies in Erwin early one morning last week was a feat.  There 
was a pack of dogs from there until just after the Nolichucky Hostel.  I 
thought that I had cleared the problem when I made the trail but they 
followed me in.  One started to come up and I seemed to scare it away by 
reaching down for a fictitious rock.  A little bit further down one of the 
other dogs kept a short piece in front of me and kept barking its head off.  
I sensed something just in time - I turned back and saw another of the dogs 
charging towards me.  He backed off as I whirled around.  This seemed like an 
organized hunting behavior.  Whether or not it was, I did not enjoy it very 
much.  ANyone else have problems in that area of the trail?
