[at-l] New to the AT

I have a question for all of you veterans out there. I have not hiked the AT yet. We are planning a trip at the end of June. We have a decent bit of backpacking experience behind us - mostly in the Monongahela National Forest, WV. We have a 5-10 day period to hike. We are after great scenery, not a lot of people, decent water sources, and lots of relaxation. We were thinking about starting at the beginning in Georgia and working our way up. I've heard that this part is rugged, which is fine, but how difficult is it? Or does anyone have another suggestion for a place that would be better for a 5-10 day hike? Thanks
