I've done the northern section from Harpers Ferry, and it is quite nice.
If you're really up to doing 20 miles, you could start at Washington Monument
State Park and hike back down to Harpers Ferry. This is not a particularly
difficult stretch. There are not that many climbs, and there is more
downhill than uphill.
