As someone who has hiked the AT three time, without useing  any of the 
carbo/electrolyte beverage's. They are not needed by most people. If YOU or 
anyone thinks they need them, then use them. You must own stock in the 
companies making them.  It must be why you keep posting the SAME information 
over and over.  Not everything you read on the internet is true.

Research paid for my the companies making these beverages is questable!
