Interesting article. But I wonder what would the world would be if like
if the agitators were not doing their thing 30 years ago?

Being a royal pain in the butt gets things done. Their predictions may
have been off, but it is the persistent voice that gets things done.  If
no one raised alarms over what is going on, the textile plant near my
grandmother's house would still be dumping chemicals that turn the
Pawtuxet river into many pretty colors. :D

I spent Earth Day in the People's Repuplic of Boulder, CO.  First time
hanging out in the heart of  Boulder on Pearl St.  Interesting to say the
least.  Naturally they did have an Earth Day celebration. THe cool thing
was the new Honda. Here is a fuel efficient car I would not mind owning.
70 MPG! And it actually seems more like a  practical car, not the
glorified golf carts of the past.   

Today, Easter, I  am spending by eating some of  the rice pie I made
yesterday. That is one family tradition I am glad to keep up with. (The
recipe is somewhere in the archives from last year). Italian food is not
all red sauce and macaroni afterall. ;-).  In a few minutes, I am going
to take a walk in the local park that a has a great view of the Rockies.
This will do two things, burn off the calories from the rice pie, AND
make this post hiking related. (Ok..so the paths are gravel..but I can
see the mountains very well!). It will also remind  me that Easter of
last year, the view was of old textile mills. Must say I prefer the view
much better this year!
