You will be unable to absorb anything on your wedding day which took longer
than three weeks to plan, and, with the simplest ceremony, at the end of the
day you will still be married.

My trail/life philosophy is this:

Life and the Appalachian Trail are pretty much the same. 90% of it is just
ups and downs, with a good bit of poison ivy along the way. Only about 10%
of it could be described as "scenery", and you really don't get any more
than that. It isn't much of a challenge to enjoy the scenery. Anyone can
do that. The real trick is finding fulfillment in completing the ups and
downs. And the poison ivy? Well, you either have to learn to avoid it, or
you will have to get treatment for it. Like I said, Life and the
Appalachian Trail are pretty much the same.
