Re:[at-l] Gear question



It's true there is little point in Gor-tex. I use the Mountain Hardwear Grade 5 shell. It is EXTREMELY light and pack-able It has nice long pit zips that you can stick your arms through for a little extra venting. It's around $100.00 and worth every penny. I also have an old pair of 2 layer Gor-Tex SD pants. Very light but they don't make them any more. I use the shell more for a wind-stop than for rain.
