[at-l] BakePacker field test

I've been thinking about taking this little "oven" on the AT section
hike. It opens up a lot of eating possiblities though it would also make
my kitchen 7 or so ounces heavier:

  1.3L titanium pot (evernew)
  BakePacker
  0.4L mug (evernew)
About 11.5oz

0.85 titanium pot/cup (msr kettle can be used to boil water and as
"mug")
couple ziplock bowls which don't weight much at all
About 4.5oz

The BP would also require more fuel when using it to bake things, but so
far the things I've made have really been quite good. I meant to do two
recipes this past weekend, but since Mark and Beverly brought so much to
eat I never did make the biscuits. However, the pizza worked quite well
though in the future I'm going to divide that in half so it is a bit less
crusty. It probably consumed 2-3 ounces of alcohol, but I wasn't paying
very close attention. I was using the Adventure Foods prepared meal which
makes 2 seven ounce servings (I suppose that means the whole pizza was 14
ounces). You get a big deep dish, not crispy but not overly soft, pizza
with plenty of sauce, cheese, and some veggies. It could have had more
zing, but was pretty good. I could not finsih it. Perhaps if I had just
come off a hard day of hiking isntead of mostly just playing passenger in
the drive to the Clark campground (is that right Damian?) I could have
eaten more. Entire cook time from putting the food on the Trangia to
getting it into my mouth was probably somehwere around 30 minutes. Some
of that time is, of course, the Trangia heating the water. It also took
a few minutes to prepare the dry ingredients, but that doesn't count for
much.

ps- Has anyone succesfully made boil-in-bag omelets in a pot as small as
MSR's Titan Kettle?
