Anyone ever hear of Crocodile! Herbal Bug "Discouragent"?

I got a free sample in the mail today.  It's made up of Rosemary, Sage, 
Wormwood, Feaverfew, Lavender, Thyme and Peppermint in Eucalyptus, Canola and 
Castor Oils.  The promotional literature included says it's just as good as 
Deet (I'm skeptical).  It smells like menthol with a hint of lavender. They 
say it will work to repel those nasty black flies....HA...it's worth a try.
