[at-l] more Ramen recipes



Jeez, don't all cheer at once...

RAMEN WITH SPICY PEANUT BUTTER
1 pkg. Ramen, oriental flavor
1 T. butter
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 T. oil
1/3 c. smooth peanut butter (Datto is allowed to sub. Smooth Sensations)
1 t. red pepper flakes
2 T. lemon juice
2 T. soy sauce
1/2 c. water

1. Prepare noodles as directed, reserving seasoning packet. Drain.
2. In a medium fry pan, fry the onion in butter until translucent; then 
add garlic and saute for about 1 minute. Keep in pan but remove from 
heat.
3. With blender--<oops>--mix rest of ingredients and 1/2 t. of the 
seasoning packet until smooth. (Campers, just moosh in a Zip-Loc, I 
guess)
4. Add peanut butter mixture to garlic and onion in warm pan.
5. Toss cooked noodles with peanut butter mixture until noodles are 
coated.
This recipe can be dressed up by adding any of the following: 
steamed carrots, broccoli, green beans, cabbage, chopped egg, apple, 
raisings, toasted nuts, sesame seed oil, sliced chicken breast, shrimp, 
fish, or leftover steak.

COCONUT-CHOCOLATE RAMEN
1 pkg. Ramen, no seasoning packet
1 t. salt
1/4 c. coconut, sweetened or unsweetened, fresh or toasted
1 plain chocolate bar, broken or 3 T. chocolate syrup

1. Prepare noodles as directed. Drain. Add salt.
2. In a small frying pan, fry Ramen.
3. When noodles are done to desired  brownness on bottom, cover the top 
with coconut. On top of coconut, place pieces of chocolate bar.
4. When chocolate bar melts, remove from heat and serve. <Duh.>
