I earn my paychecks by working as a technical
writer/editor for an emergency management company. I
mostly do editing of research reports written by
really smart scientist-types, but I also get to do a
good bit of writing and designing reports on my own. I
like the job, even though it probably sounds boring
when I describe it. My favorite punctuation marks are
the semi-colon and the en-dash.

I'm also the webmistress for the Louisiana Hiking
Club.  They don't pay me for that, though. :)
