don't recall the lemon phosphates, but I do know that the word "drink" was
synonymous for Coke.  As in:

"Would you like a drink?"

"No, I'll have a cheerwine."

Folks who were "not fum aroun' here" were real confused with that "drink"
business, always thinking it contained alcohol.


I might also add that you were truly living large if you had a pack of round
square nabs and a short coke.
