That was really good and thought provoking - however, what about those of
us that are both goal driven and being driven? I love the challenge of
thruhiking, walking from Mexico to Canada or Springer to Katahdin, but I
also love all the parts that make up the thruhiking lifestyle. While
reaching the top of a mountain can elate me, I also get as much happiness
watching sunlight dapple the water, or chipmunks playing on logs, or
just sitting against a rock, sipping some hot chocolate, watching the sun
set. In other words, the present moment joy of just being.

Thanks for the thoughts though.
