[at-l] 10th Mt Division on the AT - NOT

Sorry David but the 10th Mountain Division has gotten more mileage from
this fable than most of their fantasy claims.  It never happened but was
the result of many Commander's bragging over many beers at the Officer's
Club.  Believe me, 5000 Army troops walking up the AT would have been a
total disaster.  Not only would they have totally trashed the place and
cleaned out every beer source for 10 miles both sides of the Trail, most
of them wouldn't have made it.  That's why they go everywhere in
helicopters.  So next time you hear this one, please toss a Bull S***
flag for me.
