[at-l] SAR

Well,,,I finished my very first weekend of SAR (Search and Rescue) Training!!! What a trip!! I learned a lot in just 3 days!!! We had a great time. Next week, we have to go into the field and practice what we learned. That shelter building and survival stuff ought to be a challenge. I will end up having to carry more stuff than I had to carry on my AT hike! The SAR team is pretty busy throughout the year here,,,so maybe this will help to keep me out of trouble (NOT). At least I'll be in shape for my thru hike in 2001. KC
