This is a good place that reaches a few folk, but I'd recommend that you
also contact one of the hiking or maintaining clubs in your area.  

You might want to check out the ATC <http://www.atconf.org/Clubs.html> for
leads.  Many clubs have regular hikes listed on the WEB -- e.g., PATC at
<http://www.patc.net/forecast.html>.  BTW be sure to scroll down past the
PATC meeting stuff to the hikes, worktrips, etc.
