The history geek in me is really intrigued by this !

If I remember correctly, in the area of the Overland trail (the AT
crosses it near the Humps), they re-enact the march that gave a crucial
victory to the American's cause during the Revolutionary War.  They do
this re-enactment in full RW regalia. Bet that is way cool.
