Re: [at-l] Ryan Brooks Shelter was RUCKFUND report

Kahley, reaching thru the monitor and grabbing Coosa by the throat <g> says....
Nope. sorry. It has been a trip and obviously more successful than I could
have dreamed, but I find that fundraising is not my forte. Our success was not
due to my efforts but to the incredible generosity of the online AT community
and the RUCKCREW. There were opportunities presented to me,
openings to reach out to gear manufacturers etc, that might have yeilded
more goodies for auction or raffle. All I had to do was write and convince
them to donate. I just couldn't find the words. No matter how worthy the
cause,
asking total strangers to give me stuff just wouldn't come out. Now twisting
the arms of my friends was eeeeaaassy <g>. So I'm out of the fundraising biz
and for the next PARuck, I hope to do no more organizing than to make sure we
don't run outta coffee ! And of course...soliciting the pies <VVVBG>.
Passing the mantle.......Coosa-the action person?
