I'd say that you were 200% better prepared than anyone I started
with! I was grossly out of shape, did not do anything other than
casual walking before I started, and paid the penalty like you
would not believe!
I did 13 miles the first day and 4 the next. I was beat! If I had
it to do again, I'd shoot for 2 days to Neel's Gap, not 4...
