From the auctioneers point of view -

The most generous people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing were in the
Ironmasters Hostel on Saturday afternoon.  Many people have talked to me
about the good job I did as auctioneer.  Well, let me tell you, that was not
really me up there.  What you saw was the product of the energy that was
flying around that room.  Every bid, every comment, all of the laughter, fed
something inside of me.  What happened in that room was a thing of legend.
To the organizers and the participants, hip-hip-hooray...
