[at-l] "My Ruck" by Felix J. McGillicuddy

Here are a few ramblings from my 5 day weekend:

1). My Mellencamp/Aronoff Raffle brought in another (at least) $280.00.
Add that to the other totals and we are over $32,000. (That is including
the $29,000 that Bill Gates tentatively agreed to throw in. He has that
much in his sofa cushions.) Anyway, thanks to all that played. (BTW,
anyone who got a Mellencamp guitar pick: That same pick went for more
than $22 on eBay last week.)

2.) The dream is over. I got home to a message from the Seattle Mariners
that said that if I could be at their complex Monday a.m., I'd get one
more shot at making the team. My dream of playing Major League Baseball
again died on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

3.) I could see no similarities in our "Mr. Ed" and the horse with the
same name. I didn't look THAT close, though.

4.) I look damned good in a black-lace bra. Pittsburgh can vouch for me
here. (The best thing about me wearing a black-lace bra is that it means
that Pokey isn't ;)

5.) While Earl and I were involved in our raffle drawing, he apologized
for the whole "Coffee Incident" from a few years back. He said that type
of thing runs in his family. I guess his ancestors had something to do
with the Boston Tea Party. Later, he asked me what size black-lace bra I
wear.

6.) After meeting Pittsburgh's parents, I can say at least one thing
with little doubt: He was adopted. And, way too late. They were charming
people 6 different ways.

7.) The three pairs of panties and two motel room keys that were
anonymously donated to "The Place" fund were turned down by the UMC.
Now, if you can let me know who you are, I'll kindly get them back to
you.

8.) I left home with a one-puppy basement. I got home to a three-puppy
basement and a livingroom converted to a litter box. Anybody wanna come
over for lunch?

Well, all for now. 'twas great seeing all you Ruckers. Sorry I didn't
get to spend more time with some of you. Sorry to anyone I said "I'll
talk to you later" to, and then I didn't talk to later. Just the way it
goes. 'twas outstanding that everyone was able to pitch in and raise
nearly $4,000. Now, if the rest of society could do that with things
needing repaired...
