Paddler. But what he said about circulating air was right, sort of.
If the air is still and the skies are clear, the coldest air will
settle in the low spots. If the air is moving, it is mixed,and the
coldest air doesn't "settle out" in the valleys.

LT mud season--Yup, the mud season is after things start to thaw,
'till about May 30th. Sections of Camels Hump and Mansfield are
closed 'till then. the real problem is the top layer of ground gets
thawed while underneath it is still frozen. The thawed mud just
slides right off. Very bad erosion.
